Benavidez is no defensive genius but his guard opposes a bit of a problem. It's always protecting his body and he does a decent job at parrying. Although, he does expose himself from time to time when he's seeking heavy shots. One big flaw I noticed in Benavidez is that it takes him some time to reposition himself. He turns like a semi-truck. He is also quite stationary and shows no interest in using foot work for the benefit of creating angles. I don't think Caleb was far off the target when he said he has a higher boxing IQ than Benavidez

@APACHE Caleb also hasn’t done anything in his career, all he proved was that he was just another one of canelos victims. Before Canelo all Caleb was fighting was bums aswell. This will really show where Caleb is at. If plant loses this proves plant doesn’t belong with the best and isn’t on that level.

I’m realizing a lot of people are commenting about their opinions at the end of the day it’s who wants it more and I believe it’s Benavidez. People are sleeping on him bc of his resume but remember nobody wanted to fight him then people say he lacks defense but people are just saying what other people are saying. If you paid attention to his past 3 fights he’s definitely stepped his defense up. Caleb is a great boxer for sure but the height and the reach as well as David being a natural 175 pounder makes a huge difference in boxing but what do I know. We’ll see Saturday right. If Caleb wins much respect to him for taking this fight finally after 3 or 4 years. Team Benavidez

I dig 'em both, but I've watched Caleb at a show about 6 years ago. I'm riding with Mr. Plant and his team but I do KNOW how dangerous Mr. Benevidez and his team most certainly are. Oh boyyyy! I rewatched David both fights against gavril n yes Davis attack n lands. a lot of damage but didn't drop him while gavril dropped him late in the 1st fight. Plant is actually gonna give him a fight n might surprise him
